How It Was Compromised — Private Key Compromise via Malware on developer laptop storing seven signing keys
Private Key CompromiseMalware on developer laptop storing seven signing keys
On June 8-9, 2026, Humanity Protocol was breached when malware on a single developer laptop compromised seven signing keys stored on that machine. Founder Terence Kwok attributed the breach to the compromised private key. The $H token crashed 88-90%. A new audited ERC-20 H token was airdropped 1:1 to pre-exploit holders, with hacker wallets excluded from the airdrop.
Fund Flow & Laundering Analysis
No laundering activity observed. Stolen $H tokens largely sold on DEXes, contributing to the token price collapse.
